ABOUT

Vangelis Polydorou first came to prominence after appearing on BBC One's The Voice UK in 2016. He sang a reworked version of Culture Club's hit' Do You Really Want To Hurt Me' and wowed the celebrity coaches with his rendition. Vangelis received three chair turns from the coaches (Boy George, Paloma Faith & Ricky Wilson) and selected Boy George as his mentor. He continued his success by reaching the Live Semi Finals of the competition which led to a performance with his mentor.

George and Vangelis continued working with each other after The Voice and released a song under the collaborative duo RetroPhobia (Boy George & Roland faber) which reached number 36 in the dance charts. Boy George is now managing Vangelis and they are currently writing and recording his debut album.

"I have never really heard somebody do one of my songs that well until now. To hear you sing that song like that was a gift."
